CALENDAR ILLUSTRATION
Illustration for solidarity calendar
Commissioned illustration for the creation of the 2026 calendar “Batti il tuo Tempo” in support of Rojava region.
I drew inspiration from various stories and positive testimonies from the people: a sun of the future rising, marking the beginning of a new chapter, using the colors and symbols of the flag. I also wanted to include the typical flower that blooms in those areas (“Gula Xemgin”), but imbued with a new, more positive meaning, symbolizing growth and rebirth.
